I think music has a profound effect on our views of death because it can evoke a specific response. Music can give us a chance to reflect on our loved ones, reflect on the memories we shared with them, and reflect on their contribution to your life and vice versa. I am a big fan of music without lyrics. A couple of artists stand out for me; Ulrich Schnauss and Moby. Moby has a song called "Memory Gospel" and the title is very fitting. For me, it is a song that no matter when I listen to it, it puts me at ease, I think about the people in my life past and present. It is a song that I wish to have played at my funeral. Something to send me off on a good note, literally.
Enjoy..
