Dia de los Muertos

Ever since we discussed death rituals in class, I decided to look further into Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos. I took Spanish in high school and my teacher was very enthusiastic about this holiday. We celebrated and had a party of our own in class and I thought some of you might enjoy reading more about it. I found the following website with fun facts and the history about Dia de los Muertos. Enjoy!

  1. I've been to one near Oaxaca City in Mexico. It's a blast. Party in a cemetary; complete with all the tequilla you can drink. It's something I would love to do again. The whole village gets into it during the celebration. Definitely something to put on anyone's Bucket list...

  2. I always find Dia De Los Muertos such an exciting holiday. I love how the Mexican culture satirizes death in a humorous way and welcomes the idea of the deceased. The decorations itself is just phenomenal in my opinion.
